Cultural Practice, LLC conducted workshops and provided technical assistance to USAID/Jordan staff and implementing partners on the Most Significant Change (MSC) methodology under Management Systems International‘s Monitoring and Evaluation Support Project. The workshops offered implementing partners practical knowledge and experience in applying a participatory M&E method in the type of complex contexts where they operate. The methods provide a way for implementing partners to better understand the perspectives of diverse stakeholders and to capture unexpected outcomes. Participants were taught how to facilitate the MSC technique in their different sectors, including humanitarian response, health, governance, economic opportunity, and education, and learned basic qualitative analysis skills so they could use the data gathered from the MSC process. CP developed a primer on qualitative analysis to guide participants in the analysis and interpretation of MSC stories for program learning.
